Very good to hear this! Also try turning off autostart programs or programs (using "TuneUp Program Deactivator") to save memory, which is the bottleneck of your machine! Enjoy!

Here's what NVIDIA's Drew Henry has to say about their hot GTX 480. The official blog link is provided in the post too. They really forgot that we want GPU, not frying pans :-( | http://bit.ly/9gMIKG

Hey Sandro, theres more !
NVIDIA says the new gpu chips, featuring advanced tessalation, more steam processors are not at all cold !
NVIDIA promptly said that the have actually designed these new chips to run at HOT TEMPERATURES, AND EASILY SO EVEN IN EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS. What this means is that global warming is not our lone concern add to it high cabinet and local warming :-D during those key crunching hours of Bioshock 2 ! ! !
Let us see what awaits us in our future. Once Microsoft said 625kB of RAM was enough and these days even 10 times of that seems a small thingy.
Best, Jeet :-)

Excellent tip (UpdateStar), highly recommended :)

Just to add to your comment: There are also performance and heat differences in each driver version (for your QUADRO) present. Some of the nVidia drivers run hotter than others; before I get a new nVidia driver, I always check the discussions going on at http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/. They provide benchmarks comparing the drivers and they're talking about heat issues and possible bugs.

Yup, Tibor,

As I use Nvidia Quadro Fx I know, its VENUS in my cabinet. Well I could not find any better offering than my LG Air Conditioner and the Thermaltech cpu cooler :-D

Exactly, all the performance problems you mentioned PLUS a high CPU usage can seriously cause hardware damage – imagine how much heat a CPU and its nearby components generate. Gotta take care of enough cooling!
