Welcome to the TuneUp Blog

“Yet another Windows blog” might pop into your mind when you read this. And yes, there are literally thousands of blogs out there covering Microsoft and its operating system. So what can we possibly do differently? This little FAQ clears things up:
Who are we?
Our blog is written by a team made up of certified Microsoft experts, authors, and editors from major computer magazines. The people behind this blog also head up one of the most successful tuning suites around, called TuneUp Utilities 2009. We have lived and breathed Windows right from the start and know the Windows kernel inside and out.
What do we write about?
The TuneUp Blog covers tips and tricks for optimizing, streamlining, and troubleshooting Windows. Updated on a regular basis, we point out new optimization techniques and offer exclusive behind-the-scenes information on the ins and outs of Windows . This blog helps you be more productive by getting things done in new and clever ways. We cover everything from Windows XP to 7 including anything else Microsoft puts out.
Why do we blog?
Some of us are involved in developing a tuning product for Windows, and we’ve always had the urge to share our knowledge with our users. It is our goal to offer users help with Windows including the daily tasks and any problems that come with it. We think it is also important to finally address all the myths about Windows optimization out there. That’s why we’re here!
Will this turn out to be an advertising site for your software?
Absolutely not! This is our promise to you. After all, are you really going to keep reading if we hammer you with marketing-speak? We’re in a position to talk about these issues because we develop a tuning product Shameless plugs will be used, but only if our product serves as the easiest way to solve a problem (there are cases when this happens). AND, to keep us honest, read what we write about and tell us what you think!
Enjoy our blog posts!

Be sure I’ll be here now & then. And as my first challenge I ask you this horrible question (jejeje!)How can I do to make seconds appear in the tray bar clock? In the Control Panel > Regional settings put: HH:mm:ss: but nothing happened so I’m using a free clock replace to show whole time components. Is there a native solution? If a program can do why Windows doesn’t? Thanks a lot for your answer and solution. I know you’re the best.

Hey Churito,
thanks for commenting. But keep in mind: This is just the comment section of our blog. Maybe there’ll be a forum in the future, where users can post questions like these. But I don’t want to block your question: No, unfortunately there is no native way to show seconds – not even in Windows 7. I guess you’ll have to stick to your 3rd party tools for now. If we figure out a way, we will post it here asap.
Enjoy our blog,
Sandro

I can suggest “Free Desktop Clock” – I use it for myself (without the seconds)

Hola amigos, thanks for your answers take for the future. Hi darki, yes I know FDC, it’s nice & simple but efficient & the fact is -for me-, that can show seconds. Besides I was just reading my favourite tech magazine USERS in Argentina & there’s an article about “Gadgets for Windows XP” these are sidebars Vista style including of course different clocks. I’ll try some of them & let you know later. Regards.
