We’ve worked very hard for this moment and now it’s time to share some big news with you: Today marks the release of TuneUp Utilities, version 2011. Our new PC optimization software has killer features that are bound to boost your machine’s performance and get rid of annoying issues with a few easy clicks—we promise, you’ll be blown away by what our development teams have come up with! And by the way, the 2011 version is (of course) compatible with Windows 7, XP, and Vista, both in 32-bit and 64-bit flavors.
Here’s a quick run-down of the features we’re really excited about
TuneUp Program Deactivator
The 200 programs experiment here on our blog inspired us to create TuneUp Program Deactivator, which gives you the chance to turn off rarely used (or unused!) programs completely to avoid the loss of PC performance. No matter if you’ve got 1, 10, or 100 programs bogging down your system, with Program Deactivator, you decide which of these are allowed to use up your PC’s resources. So, how does it work? Any services, start-up entries, background processes, or scheduled tasks in a program are turned off and will remain inactive. That is, until they are needed again! Check out this video for more on how TuneUp Program Deactivator works:
Turbo Mode that is 10 times more powerful than before—with a single mouse-click, you can shut down more than 70 background processes that slow down Windows 7, XP, and Vista. It’s perfect for slower PCs or new mobile devices like Windows netbooks, or tablets but also great if you just want your computer to focus on the task at hand.
TuneUp Live Optimization, which concentrates your computer’s power on those programs you are actively working with, while at the same time, prevents background programs from using up too much of your PC’s resources.
A new rating function that helps you, our dear readers, make the best tuning decisions. It informs you about the usefulness of installed programs, so you know what programs to deactivate, what start-up entries to turn off, and what third-party software to uninstall. All TuneUp Utilities users are able to guide their peers, helping them to get the most performance out of their Windows PCs possible.
Get started with optimizing your PC!
