TuneUp recently announced a contest in which respondents to a TuneUp Utilities 2010 survey would be entered into a drawing to win one of ten $50 Amazon gift cards. Well, guess what? The results of that survey—and the winners—are in!
Approximately 79 percent of respondents appreciate TuneUp Utilities’ automatic system maintenance feature.
Additionally, 83 percent of those surveyed select the features they want to run automatically in the background to suit their personal needs, while others simply use the default configuration.
We were interested in finding out how the respondents felt about the taskbar icon that provides performance feedback and were pleased to learn that 83 percent use and access the performance configuration through the tray icon and think this function is important and useful.
We incorporated new functions designed to ease PC optimization, like the Turbo Mode, into TuneUp Utilities 2010, and were especially interested to see users felt these added features were helpful. The results showed that 46 percent of respondents intensively use the product’s special functions, with 21 percent using 1-Click Maintenance, 16 percent using Automatic Live Optimization, and 10 percent using Turbo Mode.
We were initially surprised that these numbers were not higher, however, it seems reasonable since there is such a broad spectrum of Windows problems for which users would require different features. This also confirms that TuneUp Utilities is truly an optimization suite in which each function plays an important, specific role.
Thanks for all of your feedback, and congratulations to the following winners of the $50 Amazon gift cards: Spencer, deltawing, Eden, Jon S., E. Glean, jokerkid, Ho and Jernej Oset. Happy shopping!
