Looking ahead to what the New Year will bring, we here at TuneUp are excited to see the launch of the new Internet Explorer (IE9), as well as Microsoft Office 2010, which should be released sometime in June. With its new cloud-based functionality and added features, we’re anxious to see how Office 2010 rivals other productivity platforms like Google Apps.
The TuneUp team also sees several factors driving faster, more resource-intensive use of PCs in 2010, thanks, in part, to increased multimedia use, TV streaming, and downloading. The shift to 64-bit software and the launch of Microsoft’s new operating system, Windows 7, are certainly contributing to this trend. And while we hope everything goes smoothly, the TuneUp team looks forward to helping readers solve any issues that may arise as a result of their changing PC habits and needs.
Happy New Year from the team here at TuneUp! What do you think 2010 will bring when it comes to the world of Windows?
